We got together this weekend to celebrate dad/papa's birthday! Alli made him Grandma's famous four layer torte dessert (always his request on his birthday!) And Lexi thought it looked so good that she decided to have a "hand" in dishing it out! Haha The face in the first one was due to my reaction to her sticking her hand in it. I initially tried to stop her, but of course Papa let her! haha It made for some cute pictures anyway! I don't give Lexi sweets, so she was pretty excited to get a taste of the dessert! ( And a few more tastes later from Papa! haa)

So today I decided to give Lexi a bowl with her lunch in it and a spoon and let her at it! I was prepared to clean up a big mess, but she did really well! The floor stayed surprisingly clean! She was soo excited to do it by herself and took my hand off the bowl anytime I tried to hold it for her. So independent. Haha She cried when lunch time was over, poor thing was having too much fun eating!
