To My Family
I just wanted to let everyone in my family know today how grateful I am for them. I feel so incredibly lucky to have been blessed with such an amazing family. I am so excited that our family is still growing, with each addition it just gets better and better! I have been excited for months to be getting together with my immediate family (I wish the rest of you were coming too!). To me it is like a little piece of heaven when we are all together. It feels like nothing else in the world is more important. I am so grateful that we all get along with each other and that we all are able to have such a great time just being together. The best times in my life are when I am spending time with my family and I love each and every member of my family ( and I am talking about everyone! Extended family as well) for different reasons. Together we all make a perfect unit! In a perfect world we would all live in the same state on the same street and none of us would have to work and we could just have fun all day every day! But since reality is far from that, I am grateful that the distance between us makes the times we can be together all the more special! You all have a special place in my heart and I look up to all of you. You all have such unique and wonderful attributes that inspire me to want to be better. You have all taught me great lessons throughout the course of my life. And all of you, in different ways, have helped to shape the person I am today and are great examples of the kind of person I want to become. I just love you all and want you all to know you are on my mind today!! Thank you all for being you!!
I have decided that with every post I put up, even the ones with just pictures, I am going to put a favorite quote of mine on the bottom. Just thought it would be something fun to add to my blog posts!! So here is the quote for this post:
"Things that matter most must never be at the mercy of things that matter least"

She rolls!!
Yesterday Lexi rolled over from her back to her front for the first time!! Unfortunately...NO ONE saw it!! Papa and Daddy are out of town, and even though I was sitting right next to her I missed it! I looked away for just a few seconds and when I looked back she was on her tummy! Fortunately, she was doing it like a pro this morning. :) This is a video of one of the times she did it. I am such a proud mommy! ( I say that was nice and short at the end because I had to take like 5 videos of her doing it before I got one that was short enough to actually download onto here! ha)

Steven, grandma and I took Lexi to the pool for the first time the other day. She did great! She didn’t fuss at all..she just stared at the water and wiggled her little toes! I’m so glad she didn’t protest. haha I can’t wait until we can take her out in the sun for longer than just a few minutes, we aren’t supposed to put sunscreen on her yet (i don’t know why?) so we didn’t keep her out long. We look forward to many more fun trips to the pool!

Play date!!
We have some friends that have a daughter that is only a week younger than Lexi. They had a play date today and we got some cute pictures of the two of them!! It is so fun to see Lexi interact with other babies, she is such a social little thing!! It is also so fun to have friends that have been going through the same things as we have since we both got pregnant. I’m sure the girls will grow up to be good friends!
I think Lexi was a little tired...what do you think??
I don’t know why all dads think they have to do this...it makes me so nervous! But, she obviously likes it..and I made him do it over our bed just in case! :)

Steven and I had been talking about getting a new camera for a while, and this week he surprised me by ordering me the one I have been wanting!! Such a sweet husband :) It has a lot of really awesome things you can do with it, the trick is figuring out how to do it all! It will take me a while I’m sure...but it is fun to play around with! Some of these pictures are ones we took with our new camera when we were just trying to see what it could do!
